UFFDA surfaces data from many external open-data providers (USDA NASS
CSB, USDA SSURGO, Microsoft Planetary Computer Sentinel-2, US Drought
Monitor, ESA WorldCover, Fields of The World by Taylor Geospatial,
USDA CroplandCROS, NOAA, and others). Each source retains its own
upstream license; UFFDA does not relicense upstream data. See
/sources on https://uffda.ag for per-source license badges and the
plain-English license decoder.

BUNDLED FONTS

This site serves its own webfonts from /fonts/ rather than calling a
third-party font host. Three families are redistributed here, all under
the SIL Open Font License, Version 1.1 (26 February 2007). The full
license text for each ships alongside the font files as
/fonts/<family>.LICENSE.txt, and the canonical license is at
https://openfontlicense.org/

Copyright lines and license version above were read from each project's
own license file at the time of writing (2026-08-04), not from memory or
from a font directory's summary page.

What we ship is a subset: only the weights the site renders, in WOFF2,
split by unicode-range. Because Playfair Display carries a Reserved Font
Name, and OFL 1.1 clause 3 bars a Modified Version from using it, we ship
every character range upstream publishes for each Playfair weight we use
— the character inventory for those weights is unreduced, so the files
remain functionally equivalent to the originals and the name is used as
permitted. Inter and DM Mono carry no Reserved Font Name; for those we
ship the Latin ranges only. No font file has been reshaped, renamed, or
otherwise edited. Regenerate with `npm run vendor:fonts`.

Community tile contributions live at https://github.com/uffda-ag/sandbox.
Tiles declare their own licenses in tile.json (SPDX identifier) and
are independent of this NOTICE; see that repo for details.

Attribution: when redistributing or remixing UFFDA's code or its
content, please credit "UFFDA (https://uffda.ag)" and the relevant
contributor(s). When citing UFFDA-surfaced
upstream data, cite the upstream source per its own attribution terms.
