Harmonized Landsat Sentinel-2 (NASA)
Two satellites, one analysis-ready surface reflectance stream — 30m, ~2–3 day revisit, back to 2013.
What this is
NASA's Harmonized Landsat Sentinel-2 (HLS) cross-calibrates Landsat 8/9 and Sentinel-2 into a single surface-reflectance product at 30m with ~2–3 day revisit globally. Available as COG via STAC on Earthdata and Planetary Computer, 2013–present. No restrictions (Earthdata login required).
Why we surface it
The standard for field-scale time-series analysis. Two missions harmonized into one stream means fewer cloud gaps and a consistent record across the Sentinel era. NDVI, EVI, crop-detection — this is the backbone.
