What this is
OpenGeoHub's soilDB maps global soil properties from harmonized legacy samples using machine learning. The 2026 release reaches 30m and covers 2000–2022+. Available as COG via STAC at stac.openlandmap.org. License note: this refers specifically to the soilDB data product (CC-BY-4.0). The broader OpenLandMap portal hosts layers from multiple sources, some of which carry ODbL — the license varies per layer. Always verify the specific layer license on the STAC record before use; the soilDB product is the CC-BY entry in UFFDA's catalog, not the portal in aggregate.
