What this is
Monthly evapotranspiration estimates per field at 30m resolution across the contiguous US. OpenET runs an ensemble of six remote-sensing-based ET models and returns the median, with uncertainty bounds. Updated monthly. License note: OpenET is NOT CC-BY — restrictive custom ToS granting only personal, noncommercial use. Commercial use (sell/resell/commercially use) is prohibited; integration requires explicit written consent; derivatives are treated as OpenET IP. See etdata.org/terms-of-service.
Why we surface it
ET is the most actionable open water data in US ag. Knowing how much water a field is using, vs. neighbors, vs. last year, is what makes irrigation decisions and sustainability claims credible.
